The Hero World Challenge is hosted by 15-time major winner Tiger Woods and takes place at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas.

A selected field contests the prestigious event each year with the leading ranked players and a handful of invitees teeing it up.

The tournament has been part of the PGA Tour since 2000, but rankings points and FedEx Cup earnings are not taken into consideration.

Viktor Hovland is the defending champion having won the title in 2021.

Hero World Challenge Golf Format & Schedule

The Hero World Challenge will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Albany Golf Club. There is no weekend cut owing to the small field taking part.

• Day 1 – Thursday, December 1
• Day 2 – Friday, December 2
• Day 3 – Saturday, December 3
• Day 4 – Sunday, December 4

The tournament carries a prize fund of $3,500,000 USD.
