The European and United States teams will battle it out in the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome from September 29 to October 1.

The 44th Ryder Cup will be the first to be staged in Italy when it heads to the capital.

It was originally scheduled to take place in Rome in 2022, but is 12 months delayed after the 2020 Ryder Cup was pushed back a year due to the Covid pandemic.

The latest edition of the Europe vs USA clashes will be held in at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, which is also the host venue of the Italian Open DP World Tour event.

The bi-annual contest will be played on the Championship Course at Marco Simone Golf with a 6,937-yard par-72 test in store.

Marco Simone Golf & Country Club has hosted the Italian Open in 2022 and 2023 in preparation for staging the Ryder Cup.

United States hold the Ryder Cup after a dominant 19-9 victory over Europe at Whistling Straits in 2021.

It was a second straight victory on home soil for USA, but they haven’t won in Europe since 1993. The last 13 Ryder Cups have seen Europe win nine times.
