The 2022 event, which is one of five major championships in women’s golf, is being played at Evian Resort Golf Club in France.

The Evian Championship was first played in 1994 as a Ladies European Tour event, before becoming co-sanctioned with the LPGA in 2000 and being a global major.

Minjee Lee is the reigning champion after winning the Evian Championship in 2021.

Previous champions include Helen Alfredsson, Laura Davies, Catrin Nilsmark, Annika Sörenstam, Juli Inkster, Paula Creamer, Karrie Webb, Natalie Gulbis, Inbee Park, Suzann Pettersen, Lydia Ko, In Gee Chun and Anna Nordqvist.

The Evian Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Evian Resort Golf Club in France, with a cut after the opening two rounds.
