Linn Grant: What’s In The Bag

Linn Grant

Linn Grant picked up her first LPGA Tour victory when winning the Dana Open in July 2023. A look at Linn Grant: What’s In The Bag.

Grant finished on 21-under par in the Dana Open at Highland Meadows Golf Club, three shots clear of the previous week’s US Women’s Open winner Allisen Corpuz.

It was Grant’s breakthrough win on the LPGA Tour to add to six victories for the Sweden on the Ladies European Tour and Ladies Sunshine Tour.

Before the win, Grant was ranked 28th in the Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Grant won six times in 2022 in a break-out year including creating history with victory in the Scandinavian Mixed on home soil at Halmstad Golf Club.

It was the first time a female golfer had won a DP World Tour event.

She also won on home turf in Sweden in August 2022 as she birdied the final two holes of the Skafto Open to finish on 11-under par and beat Lisa Pettersson by a shot with another Swede Maja Stark third.

Before that, Grant won twice on the Sunshine Tour in February 2022 in the Dimension Data Ladies Challenge and Jabra Ladies Classic.

She also made her first full start as a Ladies European Tour member a winning one too in the Joburg Ladies Open in March.

The Ping staff golfer then added the Belgian Ladies Open title to her name in May 2022 at Naxhelet Golf Club.

Grant was back on the winning trail when recording a two-shot victory in the Jabra Ladies Open at Evian Resort Golf Club in May 2023.

Grant first shot to prominence at the 2017 Ping Junior Solheim Cup. She finished runner-up as an invite in the Skafto Open and Creekhouse Ladies Open in 2021 before earning her LET card at Q-School in December.
