Miura TC-201 Irons Review (MUSCLE Back With Cavity Back Forgiveness)

Miura TC-201 Irons

Miura TC-201 irons are a high-performing muscle back in design but the players’ model offers the forgiveness of a cavity back.

The TC-201s have been as a replacement for the earlier CB-1008 irons and as an alternative to the full blade features of the MB-101.

Miura have come up with a design in the creation of the TC-201s that has the classic blade like look, but the mini cavity back helps increase the forgiveness levels.

We take a look at the design features, who the irons suit and discover what the muscle backs actually perform like on the course.

What Miura says about the TC-201 Irons:

“The TC-201 offers the performance of a muscle back with the increased forgiveness of a cavity back.

“The progressive weighting in the sole provides a lower center of gravity in the long irons for added height and higher trajectory on longer shots.

“Slightly changing to a higher center of gravity in the short irons creates a lower trajectory and more control on shorter shots.

Constant weight towards the heel and toe helps with off center shots. The sole design contributes significantly to the playability and forgiveness of this club and the minimal offset paired with the top line at address inspires confidence.

“The TC-201 is a player’s iron that acts as a replacement for the CB-1008 and perfectly complements the MB-101.”

Verdict: Are Miura TC-201 Irons any good?

As with any Miura product, the irons ooze quality and the TC-201 model is firstly a beautiful looking option.

Although they are aimed at lower-handicap golfers and scratch players who love the playability of blades, the TC-201s come with a bit more forgiveness that other Miura designs.

That makes these irons appeal to a wider range of golfers than some bladed irons, and you will be highly impressed with the performance too.
