The 2021 USPGA Championship will take place between May 20-23 on the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Resort.

In what will be the 103rd USPGA Championship, the 2021 event returns to its position as the second major of the year after being held in August last year following the coronavirus pandemic.

Collin Morikawa is the reigning champion having won his first major when lifting the USPGA Championship title in 2020 at TPC Harding Park.

Where is the 2021 USPGA Championship taking place?

The 2021 USPGA Championship heads to Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina and will be staged on the Ocean Course.

It will be the second time the USPGA Championship has been held at Kiawah Island after also being staged at the South Carolina venue in 2012.

Rory McIlroy secured the first of his majors when carding a six-under par final round of 66 to win by eight shots from David Lynn.

That was the first-ever major staged at Kiawah Island, and in South Carolina. The Ocean Course had previously staged the 1991 Ryder Cup when the United States beat Europe 14.5-13.5.

Who is the reigning US PGA Championship champion?

Collin Morikawa will tee it up as the defending champion at the Ocean Course having won his first major in the 2020 USPGA Championship.

The American was making his USPGA Championship debut and only his second appearance in a major, but he showed his talent when winning by two shots from Paul Casey and Dustin Johnson

Morikawa finished the week on 13-under par at TPC Harding, which was staging a major for the first time. Casey and subsequent US Masters winner Dustin Johnson ended on 11-under.
