The BMW International Open is the 16th event of the 2022 DP World Tour season as the action returns from a one-week break while the US Open took place.
The tournament takes place at Golfclub München Eichenried once again for 2022 with the venue having staged the last two editions.
Viktor Hovland is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2021.
The event first joined the European Tour in 1989 and has been staged in Cologne at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof and at St. Eurach Land-und-Golfclub south of Munich previously.
Former winners of the BMW International Open include Paul Azinger, Sandy Lyle, Colin Montgomerie, Thomas Bjorn, John Daly, Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, Ernie Els and Hovland.

BMW International Open Format & Schedule
The Scandinavian Mixed golf will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Golfclub München Eichenried in Germany. There is a cut at the 36-hole stage.
- Day 1 – Thursday, June 23
- Day 2 – Friday, June 24
- Day 3 – Saturday, June 25
- Day 4 – Sunday, June 26
The tournament carries a prize fund of €2,000,000.
