En Centurion Golf Club en Londres en julio, el australiano terminó con 15 bajo par con su tercera ronda de tres bajo par suficiente para asegurar una victoria de un tiro sobre Patrick Reed.

Smith luego registró su tercera victoria general en la Golf LIV con una victoria dominante de siete golpes sobre Anirban Lahiri en el Trump National Golf Club.
