The event is played on the Harbour Tour Golf Links in South Carolina, and is the first event on the 2022 PGA Tour season since The Masters.

Stewart Cink is the reigning champion after winning the RBC Heritage in 2021.

The RBC Heritage was first held in 1969 when known as the Heritage Golf Classic. It has also been known as the Sea Pines Heritage Classic, MCI Heritage Golf Classic, Worldcom Classic and Verizon Heritage.

Previous champions include Arnold Palmer, Hale Irwin, Tom Watson, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, Davis Love III, Jim Furyk, Graeme McDowell, Matt Kuchar, Webb Simpson and Stewart Cink.

RBC Heritage Golf Format & Schedule

RBC Heritage will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Harbour Town Golf Links with a cut after the opening two rounds.

• Day 1 – Thursday, April 14
• Day 2 – Friday, April 15
• Day 3 – Saturday, April 16
• Day 4 – Sunday, April 17

The tournament carries a total prize fund of $8,000,000 USD.
