Seamus Power becomes Touring Professional at The K Club

Top Irish golfer Seamus Power has been announced as a new Touring Professional for The K Club Golf Club in Ireland.

The K Club, more formally known as the Kildare Hotel and Golf Club, is located in County Kildare and is one of Ireland’s most prestigious golf venues.

Power will act as the club’s Touring Professional and promote the hotel and golf course during the 2022 and 2023 seasons on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between The K Club and Seamus Power…” the K Club said in a tweet posted with a video of Power.

“…which will see Seamus take up the position as our official Touring Professional for the 2022 and 2023 golfing seasons. Welcome to the team Seamus.”

Who is Seamus Power?

Seamus Power is a star of the PGA Tour and DP World Tour and the world number 47 ranked golfer.

He graduated from the Korn Ferry Tour, where he claimed his first professional win in the United Leasing & Finance Championship in 2016.

Power recorded his first PGA Tour victory in the 2021 Barbasol Championship after winning a play-off with JT Poston at Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky.

About the K Club

The K Club is noted most famously for hosting the 2006 Ryder Cup, won 18.5-9.5 by the European Team.

The venue has also played host to the European Open from 1995-2007 as well as the Irish Open in 2016.

There are two courses at The K Club – the Palmer North Course which staged the Ryder Cup and the Palmer South Course which hosted the Irish Open.
