The course opened in 1998, it has since been dubbed the “Augusta of the North,” and patrons of the public course have been thoroughly impressed with the scenery as they golf.
Brian Ault and Bill Love designed the venue, one that plays as a par-72 at 6,983 yards. The golfing facility is complete with practice areas, including putting-practice greens and chipping greens.
This is a public course meaning you can play here without a need for a country club crony or resort pass. For tourists to the area that may not be well-connected to the local gentry, that’s a big plus.
2. Wilmington Country Club
Having opened in 1961, the venue features 36 holes of golf across two courses, the North Course and the South Course.
Golf Digest has accoladed the venue with the South Course getting their top spot for the state and the North Course, which Dick Wilson designed, was not far behind in the same publication.

3. Bidermann Golf Course
O Bidermann Golf Course is located near Wilmington, Delaware. It opened in 1965, it is a par-72 course at a length of 6,766 yards, and Dick Wilson was the designer.
This is a private course that is located in the very northern part of Delaware, not far from the Delaware River with great accessibility from Philadelphia.

4. Peninsula Golf & Country Club
