The 2022/2023 PGA Tour schedule features 47 events throughout the new season, which runs from September 2022 to August 2023.

The PGA Tour season kicks off in September 2022 with the Fortinet Championship and concludes in August 2022 with the Tour Championship, the culmination of the FedEx Cup series.

There are 44 regular season events and three in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the FedEx St Jude Championship, the BMW Championship and Tour Championship.

The qualification for those FedEx Playoffs is one key change with just 70 players making the FedEx St Jude Championship, the field cut to 50 players for the BMW Championship and 30 in the season-ending Tour Championship.

Other changes to the season centre around prize money levels as the PGA Tour bids to fight off the threat of the new LIV Golf tour.

As announced by the PGA Tour, record prize money includes eight invitationals across the season featuring prize funds of between $15 to $25 million.

The Sentry Tournament of Champions is up to $15 million from $8.2 million, the Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Memorial Tournament increase from $12 million to $20 million.

The Players Championship now has a PGA TOUR-record prize of $25 million, up from $20 million, while the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play will see players compete for $20 million, up from $12 million.

The CJ Cup have moved from South Korea to Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina, in October, the Rocket Mortgage Classic moves from late July to late June and the 3M Open is scheduled one week later this season.

This will the final year of the current calendar format with the PGA Tour moving to an annual calendar schedule from 2024.

The events from September to November 2023 will be classified as the “Fall” element before the annual schedule begins in January 2024. The final events of 2023 are being name “Challenge” events.
