The 2023 Irish Open golf takes place from September 7-10. Watch a 2023 Irish Open live stream of all the action from the DP World Tour event.

The Irish Open is the latest event of the 2023 DP World Tour season and is one of the key preparation events for the 2023 Ryder Cup.

The event was first held in 1927 first joined the European Tour in 1975.

The tournament returns to The K Club in Straffan, County Kildare in Republic of Ireland have previously been staged at the venue once before in 2016.

Other venues to have staged the event since it was first played in 1927 include Portmarnock, Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Royal Dublin, Cork, Malone, Belvoir Park, Woodbrook, Killarney, Mount Juliet, Druids Glen, Ballybunion, Fota Island Resort, County Louth, Carton House, Adare Manor, Ballyliffin, Lahinch and Galgorm Castle.

Adrian Meronk is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2022 at Mount Juliet Golf Estate.

Former winners of the Irish Open include Ben Crenshaw, Mark James, Sam Torrance, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Ian Woosnam, Jose Maria Olazabal, Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, Sergio García, Thomas Bjorn, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry, Paul Casey, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm.

Irish Open Format & Schedule

The Irish Open golf will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at The K Club in Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland. There is a cut at the 36-hole stage.

  • Day 1 – Thursday, September 7
  • Day 2 – Friday, September 8
  • Day 3 – Saturday, September 9
  • Day 4 – Sunday, September 10

The tournament carries a prize fund of $6,000,000.
