The 2023 World Amateur Team Championships will be held in Dubai after Jumeirah Golf Estates was named as the host venue.

Both the women’s and men’s championships will take place on the Fire Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates after Dubai was chosen to host the WATC ahead of Singapore.

Teams from more than 70 countries will head to Dubai in October 2023 with the tournament taking place in the Middle East for the first time.

The Women’s Championship, which plays for the Espirito Santo Trophy, will be held from Wednesday 18th to Saturday 21st October.

The Men’s Championship, which is played for the Eisenhower Trophy, will be held the following week from Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th October 2023.

“We are delighted to announce, in conjunction with the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) and International Golf Federation, that Jumeirah Golf Estates will host the World Amateur Team Championships on Fire Course in 2023,” Dubai Golf said.

“This marks the first time the Middle East will host the event and will welcome over 70 countries competing during 72 holes of stroke-play competition.

“We would like to thank the Emirates Golf Federation and International Golf Federation for selecting our course to host these two exceptional events, and for being a driving force in growing the game of golf and competitive play around the world.

“We look forward to welcoming all players in 2023.”
