The event has a rich history have been established in 1938 and is the final PGA Tour event of the regular season before the FedEx PlayOffs.

The Wyndham Championship has previously been known as the Greater Greensboro Open, KMart Greater Greensboro Open, Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic and Chrysler Classic of Greensboro.

The tournament has been played at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, since 2008. It was also held at the venue previously as well as at Sedgefield Starmount Forest and Forest Oaks.

Tim Kim is the reigning champion having won the event in 2022.

The Wyndham Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a cut after the opening two rounds.

• Day 4 – Sunday, August 6

The tournament carries a total prize fund of $7,600,000 USD.
