The tournament is part of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, and is being played at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Los Angeles for the second time.

The Los Angeles Open was first held in 2018 at Wiltshire Country Club, but moved to the current host venue for 2023.

For 2024, it has a new name have been rebranded as the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship.

Ruoning Yin is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2023 when claiming a one-shot victory.

Other former winners include Moriya Jutanugarn, Minjee Lee, Brooke Henderson and Nasa Hataoka.
