Titleist 2025 Pro V1 & Pro V1x Golf Balls (Next Generation Reviewed)

Titleist 2025 Pro V1 & Pro V1x Golf Balls Review

Titleist has introduced the latest iterations of its flagship Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls with the launch of a new 2025 edition of the leading models.

The new models made their PGA Tour debut at the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas on October 17, undergoing the standard tour validation process used by the manufacturer.

They have now been officially launch to mark a significant milestone in the company’s history of innovation as Titleist reach 25 years of golf ball development of the Pro V1 series.

The launch of the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x celebrates a quarter-century of Titleist’s commitment to producing premium performance golf balls. The AVX Aim 360 balls have also been launched in 2025.

The new editions of the world’s leading ball feature a faster high gradient dual core that delivers more speed while increasing spin on approach shots for a more complete performance.

2025 Titleist Pro V1 Ball Design

Titleist have upgraded the industry leading Pro V1 ball by introducing a new faster high gradient core – which is 44% larger than in previous versions – for increased speed and spin control.

Still boasting a three-piece construction design, the Pro V1 offers a mid-flight trajectory and soft feel that suits a wide variety of golfers.

The new model has the same spherically tiled 388 tetrahedral dimple design, but Titleist have optimized the design for distance as well as a penetrating and consistent flight.

A speed amplifying high-flex casing layer helps produce low long game spin, while the soft cast urethane elastomer cover delivers excellent greenside spin on approach play.

The new Pro V1 ball is available in both white and high optic yellow with an improved alignment line to use as a putting aid.

Titleist Pro V1 & Pro V1x

2025 Titleist Pro V1x Ball Design

The four-piece Titleist Pro V1x has a new faster high gradient dual-core in the 2025 design for more speed and increased approach shot spin.

The new release has increased ball speed off the tee without losing any of the control that golfers have come to expect from the Pro V1x, which has a firmer feel of the two options.

The Pro V1x features a new spherically tiled 348 tetrahedral dimple design, which produces a higher ball flight than the Pro V1 and delivers even more consistency from the latest design.

Like the Pro V1, the Pro V1x ball produces a reduction in long game spin thanks to a speed amplifying high-flex casing layer, with the soft cast urethane elastomer cover delivering improved greenside spin and control.

The new model provides slightly more spin on short shots, with testing showing an increase of just under 100 rpm on 50-yard pitch shots compared to the previous generation.

The 2025 Pro V1x is sold in both white and high optic yellow with enhanced alignment in the new launch.

2025 Pro V1 & Pro V1x Golf Balls Review: How have they been improved?

The Pro V1 and Pro V1x were already top of tree and among the most played balls, but Titleist have managed to improve the performance of the 2025 model further.

The new larger inner core in both models helps reduce spin in the long game, but has also increased speed and provided a more stable flight too.

The 2025 Pro V1x maintains its position as the higher-spinning option compared to the Pro V1, offering players who prefer a higher trajectory and increased spin.

The Pro V1 has lower long game spin and plenty of short game control and is the option to suit players seeking a combination of distance, spin and soft feel.

On the putting greens, the Pro V1x produces a slightly more clicky sound while the Pro V1 gives a fuller feel with the ball staying on the putter face a fraction of a second longer.
