The 2025 Ryder Cup does not offer any prize money to participants or winning teams, but for the first time the United States players will be paid for appearing at the event.
While PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf events feature tournaments with some huge prize pools, the 24 players and captaincy teams won’t earn any prize money for victory in the Ryder Cup.
There is no monetary purse or prize money for the 2025 Ryder Cup for either side, regardless of who emerges as the winners at Bethpage Black in New York.
For the first time, however, the United States players are receiving financial compensation for participating in the 45th Ryder Cup.
The decision was made to pay each of the US players and captain Keegan Bradley $500,000 for appearing in the Ryder Cup following controversies at the 2023 event.
It was Patrick Cantlay who was at the centre of the controversy in Rome two years ago, reportedly refusing to wear a USA cap as players were not being paid to play.
