The Volvo China Open returned to the DP World Tour in 2024 have been left off the schedule since 2019, although it did continue to take place as a domestic tournament.
The China Open dates back to 1995 when an Asian Tour event. It was co-sanctioned with the European Tour from 2004 before dropping off the schedule during the Covid pandemic.
The 2024 event was staged at Hidden Grace Golf Club in Shenzhen in China, but moves to Enhance Anting Golf Club in Shanghai for the first time.
The tournament has also been staged at Beijing International, Shanghai Sun Island International, Shanghai Silport, Shenzhen, Beijing Honghua International, Suzhou Jinji Lake, Luxehills International, Binhai Lake, Genzon, Tomson Shanghai Pudong and Topwin.
Adrian Otaegui is the reigning champion after victory in the China Open in 2024.
Other previous winners include Simon Dyson, Paul Casey, Jeev Milkha Singh, Damien McGrane, Scott Strange, Nicolas Colsaerts, Branden Grace, Brett Rumford, Alexander Levy, Ashun Wu, Haotong Li and Alexander Bjork.
