Cabell B. Robinson was the original designer of this resort-based course. Robinson, an American designer, is known mainly for his work in Europe and Africa.

Valderrama has a distinguished reputation on the Spanish golf scene and beyond. Dubbed the “Augusta of Europe,” Valderrama has hosted numerous important golf tournaments.

Located in Marbella, the Real Club de Golf Las Brisas was built in 1968 and is another of the top class venue in Southern Spain on the Costa del Sol.

The 18-hole course at this club is a par-72 affair at a short length of 6,687 yards and it has been ranked among the top-100 golf courses in Europe in the past.

Campo de Golf El Saler

Located in El Saler National Park in Spain, the Campo de Golf El Saler was built in 1968 when designed by Javier de Arana, a golf course designer who was born in Bilbao.

Campo de Golf El Saler is set in an amazing and scenic nature preserve on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to the south of Valencia on the Costa Blanca.

Today, the course is a par-72 affair at a total length of 6,608 yards, and has hosted several tour events in the past including the Open de Espana and Seve Trophy.

Golfers should expect variation within the course with some coastal holes not too dissimilar to Scottish links-style courses while other holes are more parkland in harmony with the Mediterranean Forest.

Real Club de Golf El Prat

The Real Club de Golf El Prat was built in 2004 and is one of the best venues in the Costa Brava area of Spain.

The main course at this multi-course venue is a par-72 golf course that is a testing length at 7,297 yards from the back tees.

Greg Norman designed this private club, one that has played host to The Spanish Open among many other notable golf tournaments.

The club is just over half an hour away from Barcelona’s city center, making it very accessible from that major urban center of Spain.

With a total of 45 holes to choose from at the club, this is a golfing tourist destination that is suitable for a long stay.
