The Callaway Apex UW 2026 have been launched as part of a newly designed set of long game utility woods – and the successor to the UW ‘24.
Launched along with new UT irons and Apex Ti Super Hybrid, the UW range continues to offer the benefit of being part higher-lofted fairway woods and part easy-to-hit hybrids.
Part of the 2026 Apex series, the new UW is a more refined option designed for golfers seeking control, versatility and confidence in challenging distance gaps at the top end of their bag.
The 2026 model has been given some notable changes, the most significant being a carbon crown and tungsten weighting. There is also refined shaping and a new sole design for better all-round performance.

✅ Retains neutral flight bias
✅ Better turf interaction from both fairway and rough
❌ Bonded hosel restricts adjustability for loft and lie changes
❌ Mid-high handicappers may find standard hybrids or woods easier to launch
❌ Slightly higher retail price than previous generations
Callaway Apex 2026 Utility Wood Specs & Design
The new Callaway Apex UW utility woods have been given some notable updates in design and technology to improve on the performance of previous generation.
Once again, the UW is designed as a versatile option for golfers looking for an option between fairway woods and hybrids at the top of the bag.

The shaping returns to the original 2021 model’s popular shape, which is more compact than the 2024 UW clubs and the slightly larger and more rounded clubhead.
The 2026 model features a new TriAxial Carbon Crown as the big design change, replacing the steel crown that was used in the 2024 version.
The lighter carbon design significantly reduces mass on top and has allowed more discretionary weight to be positioned around the club perimeter for greater stability and forgiveness.

Also new is the Tungsten Speed Wave, which replaces the previous MIMed weight port and results in more mass placed low and forward to promote higher launch and faster ball speeds.
The new utility woods incorporate a Step Sole design that is borrowed from Callaway’s Elyte fairway woods and improves turf interaction for cleaner strikes from various lies than the previous UWs.
The loft range has been extended to now include 17 degrees, 19 degrees, 21 degrees and 23 degrees lofts. In the 2026 edition, a bonded hosel is used which means there is no option to adjust the loft and lie.

Callaway Apex UW 2026 Review: Are they any good?
The Apex UW goes through another design change for 2026 with some excellent tweaks made to the utility woods this time around.
Much lighter thanks to the new carbon crown, Callaway have managed to significantly improve the weighting of the new UW to make them more forgiving than ever before.
Interestingly, they look more like the 2021 version than their predecessor from 2024 with Callaway reverting back to the older shaping.
The move, couple with the inclusion of the sole from the Elyte woods, makes these incredibly playable and a top class option for the top end of your bag.
