Cobra Aerojet Woods Review (3 NEW Fairways for 2023)

Cobra Aerojet Woods

Cobra Aerojet woods are newly launched for 2023 with three models – the Aerojet, Max and LS – offering consistency and faster ball speeds.

Part of a complete offering from Cobra with Aerojet driver, hybrids and irons, the fairways replace the LTDx model as the leading range with the Aerojet, Max and LS the three options.

The Aerojet woods have a new PWR-Bridge weighting to help create more flex in the face and the increased ball speeds that golfers crave, with more forgiveness too.

In this article we take a look at the new fairway woods, the key design elements and look at how much gains you can expect vs the Cobra LTDx woods.

What Cobra says about the Aerojet fairway woods:

“The AEROJET fairway is designed for versatile shot making and plenty of forgiveness to make your long game more consistent.

“Three AEROJET Fairway models offer different shot shapes and trajectory control to fit your game.

Cobra Aerojet Woods Specs & Design

The Aerojet is the standard model of the three, offering distance, accuracy and forgiveness in equal measure as the most neutral version.

This version has a single weight positioned at the rear to provide maximum forgiveness along with a high launch angle that suits the majority of golfers.

The Aerojets have a lightweight carbon crown and have been designed to produce faster balls speeds than the LTDx woods, and a new PWR-BRIDGE suspended weight design is key.

This new design element from Cobra ensures there is no limit on the amount of flexibility from the face and sole with the weight no longer restrictive.

Behind the face is a PWRSHELL insert to help add mph to your ball speeds and the AI-designed H.O.T. face design – with variable thickness pattern – reduces spin levels and helps with forgiveness and accuracy.

The Aerojet woods are available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 1.5 degrees up or down.

Cobra Aerojet Max Woods Specs & Design

The Aerojet Max woods are the draw-bias model in the range and designed to help counteract a fade, slice or natural left to right shot shape.

The Max features two weights in the back and heel of the sole to create the draw-bias and as a result in the most forgiving in the range.

Cobra Aerojet Max Woods

The highest launching of the three models, the Max delivers mid-to-low spin rates to help you find more fairways and greens.

Like the Aerojet, the Max has the PWR-BRIDGE suspended weight design and a PWRSHELL insert for fast ball speeds, and the AI-designed H.O.T. face design with variable thickness pattern.

The Aerojet Max woods are available in 3-wood (15.5 degrees), 5-wood (18.5 degrees) and 7-wood (21.5 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 1.5 degrees up or down.

Cobra Aerojet LS Woods Specs & Design

The LS is the low-spinning model of the trio, and this version has a more compact clubhead that the other options.

This is the options for golfers looking for shot shaping with a low launch angle and low spin rates for maximum distance.

Cobra Aerojet LS Woods

The two weights in the Aerojet LS are positioned low and forward to produce the piercing ball flights, maximum ball speed and less spin.

The LS features the PWR-BRIDGE weight design with the weight suspended for extra flexibility. A PWRSHELL insert creates fast ball speeds, and the AI-designed H.O.T. face design increases forgiveness levels.

The Aerojet LS woods are available in 3-wood (14.5 degrees) and 5-wood (17.5 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 1.5 degrees up or down.

Verdict: Are Cobra Aerojet fairways any good?

The Aerojet woods have an interesting design with the weighting suspended in this model, and Cobra have come up with something that does generate faster ball speeds as a result.

There are incremental gains compared to the LTDx fairways, rather than huge increases in speed and distance. But the Aerojets are Cobra’s best yet.

These woods offer speed, distance and importantly forgiveness in equal measure and the three options offer excellent variety when it comes to ball flight preference.
