Fourteen Golf look set to introduce the brand’s first driver after a range of DX models were added to the USGA Conforming list for 2025.
Known for their high-class irons and wedges, the Japanese manufacturer could be set to add another element to their armoury with the release of the DX-001, DX-001 HL, DX-002, DX003 and DX-004 drivers.
Fourteen Golf haven’t revealed any details on the driver, other than images of the five separate models being added to the USGA Conforming List.
We do know that each of the models have different sole weighting, in which the same way that the big-name brands have come up with for multiple different designs in a series.
Each of the drivers has a slick black club head and what appears to be a silver speed port behind the face, similar to TaylorMade’s Speed Pocket in their Qi35 driver.
It appears that only the DX-004 driver will have an adjustable hosel from the designs, although all five have hosel settings boasting plus and minus.
Fourteen Golf DX-001 Driver Specs & Design
Little is know about the design specifics of the DX-001 driver, but we can see from the Conforming List image that this model has just a single 14g sole weight.
Fourteen Golf DX-001 HL Driver & Specs
An identical design to the DX-001, the HL version is likely to be a High Launch model with slight weight adjustments in the clubhead promoting a towering ball flight from this model.
Fourteen Golf DX-002 Driver & Specs
The third model to hit the Conforming List is the DX-002 and this one features two sole weights – one at the front and one at the rear.
In the image, a 12g weight is positioned at the rear for maximum forgiveness with 4g behind the face. They are interchangeable and would a piercing ball flight with the heavier weight in the front location.
Fourteen Golf DX-003 Driver & Specs
The DX-003 also features two sole weights, but this model as them positioned in the heel and toe and can be used to cure fades and slices or draws.
It has interchangeable 3g and 9g weights in the two sole ports and the can be swapped if you want more draw or fade shot shaping capabilities.
Fourteen Golf DX-004 Driver & Specs
What looks like the most advanced of the Fourteen Golf designs, the DX-004 is the most adaptable driver in the range.
This model only features a front weight behind the face of 9g and is probably less forgiving that some of the other versions as a result – and deliver a lower ball flight.
What it does have, however, is an adjustable hosel for both loft and lie adjustments.
