Adjusting The Loft Angle of a Takomo IGNIS D2 Driver

There are a few simple steps you can take to adjust the loft angle of your driver. You will just need an adjustment tool or wrench to get started.

Here’s how to adjust a Takomo IGNIS D2 driver:

1. Locate the screw on the sole of your Takomo IGNIS D2 driver that attaches the driver head to the shaft.

2. Using the wrench, loosen the screw by turning anticlockwise.

3. Once the screw is fully out, you can rotate the adjustable hosel to a lower loft or a higher loft depending on your preference. You will notice the driver you can turn the shaft to up to 8 further options with Takomo using the points of a compass.

  • N – Neutral: Standard loft and standard 58° lie angle.
  • NE – +1° loft added with the standard lie angle to launch the ball slightly higher, add a little spin and make the face sit marginally more closed.
  • E – +2° loft / 1° more upright lie for the highest-launching setting and to help golfers who tend to slice or start the ball right.
  • SE – +1° loft / 1° more upright lie is a good middle-ground option for golfers who want a little more carry and some draw-help.
  • S – 1° more upright lie but keeps the stated loft for a slightly more leftward start line or reduce a fade/slice tendency
  • SW – -1° loft / 1° more upright lie to suits players wanting a slightly lower flight but who still need a little draw bias or help preventing a right miss.
  • W – -2° loft / 1° more upright lie creates the lowest-launching setting while retaining the more upright lie angle.
  • NW – -1° loft is the simplest option for a player who wants to flatten launch and reduce spin without changing directional bias.

4. When you have turned the hosel to your required loft, slot the shaft back into your club head. Your new loft will be display through the window on most drivers.

5. Put the screw back in place and tighten with the wrench by turning clockwise. When it is fully tight, you will hear a crank that sounds like the driver is cracking. At this point, the screw is as tight as needed.

Every time you want to adjust the loft, you repeat this process.

6. To change the weight positions unscrew the standard 3g weight in the sole and replace with the additional 8g that comes with the driver into the required port.
