Hyo Joo Kim added another LPGA Tour to her CV when winning the Lotte Championship in April 2022. A look at Hyo Joo Kim: What’s In The Bag.
The South Korean star finished on 11-under par at Hoakalei Country Club in Hawaii to land a fifth LPGA Tour victory.
A final round of one-under par was enough to record a two-shot victory over Japan’s Hinako Shibuno.
It was the latest LPGA Tour success to add to the 2014 Evian Championship, which was her first major, 2015 JTBC Founders Cup, 2016 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic and 2021 HSBC Women’s World Championship.
She also lost a play-off with Ariya Jutanugarn in the 2018 US Women’s Open.
Kim won the 2012 Swinging Skirts TLPGA Open on the LPGA of Taiwan and 2012 Suntory Ladies Open on the LPGA Tour of Japan as an amateur before graduating to the LPGA Tour of Korea.
In her home tour, Kim won the 2012 Lotte Mart Women’s Open as an amateur, the Hyundai China Ladies Open in 2012 and the Kia Motors Korea Women’s Open, Kumho Tire Ladies Open, Hanwha Finance Classic, Hite Jinro Championship, KB Financial Star Championship and Hyundai China Ladies Open in 2014.
She then won the 2015 Kumho Tire Ladies Open, the 2016 Hyundai China Ladies Open, the Lotte Cantata Ladies Open and KB Financial Group Star Championship in 2020 and OKSavingsBank Se Ri Pak Invitational and SK Networks Seokyung Ladies Classic in 2021.
