Hyo Joo Kim claimed back-to-back wins when landing the title in the Fortinet Founders Cup and Ford Championship in March 2026. A look at Hyo Joo Kim: What’s In The Bag.
The South Korean claimed a one-shot victory over Nelly Korda in the LPGA’s 2026 Fortinet Founders Cup at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in California.
And seven days later at Whirlwind Golf Club in Arizona, Kim repeated that feature as she defeated Korda by two shots to win the 2026 Ford Championship and successfully defend her title.
Kim now has nine LPGA Tour including the 2014 Evian Championship, 2016 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, 2021 HSBC Women’s World Championship, 2022 Lotte Championship, 2023 The Ascendant LPGA benefitting Volunteers of America and 2025 Ford Championship.
She also lost a play-off with Ariya Jutanugarn in the 2018 US Women’s Open.
On the Ladies European Tour, Kim won the Aramco Team Series Korea in 2024 and defended the title by winning the 2025 Aramco Korea Championship a year later.
Earlier in her career, Kim won the 2012 Swinging Skirts TLPGA Open on the LPGA of Taiwan and 2012 Suntory Ladies Open on the LPGA Tour of Japan as an amateur before graduating to the LPGA Tour of Korea.
On her home tour, Kim won the 2012 Lotte Mart Women’s Open as an amateur, the Hyundai China Ladies Open in 2012 and the Kia Motors Korea Women’s Open, Kumho Tire Ladies Open, Hanwha Finance Classic, Hite Jinro Championship, KB Financial Star Championship and Hyundai China Ladies Open in 2014.
She then won the 2015 Kumho Tire Ladies Open, the 2016 Hyundai China Ladies Open, the Lotte Cantata Ladies Open and KB Financial Group Star Championship in 2020 and OKSavingsBank Se Ri Pak Invitational and SK Networks Seokyung Ladies Classic in 2021.
