The Swede was finally winning on her 129th Ladies European Tour start as she took the title in Deauville by three shots from compatriot Moa Folke.
A closing round of six-under par at Golf Barriere earned Gustavsson victory in the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, eight years after she made her LET debut.
Gustavsson has two LET Access Series wins to her name, but had never previously made the breakthrough at the highest level.
She won the 2015 Larvik Ladies Open and the 2018 Ribeira Sacra Patrimonio de la Humanidad International Ladies Open on the Access Series.
Following the win in France, Gustavsson was ranked 114th in World Rolex Rankings.
