Mexico Open 2026: Who Are The Leading Betting Odds Favourites?

Mexico Open Flag

The 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open takes place on the PGA Tour at Vidanta Vallarta in Mexico from October 29‑November 1.

The PGA Tour’s FedExCup Fall continues with a 120-player field competing for a $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points.

Vidanta Vallarta will play as a par 71 measuring 7,337 yards with the resort course once again offering opportunities for powerful drivers.

Taking advantage of those positions with accurate approaches will be essential to producing a winning score in what is usually challenging conditions.

Wyndham Clark heads the betting market followed by Tom Kim, Ben James, Doug Ghim, Ben Griffin and Johnny Keefer.

Brian Campbell returns as defending champion as the tournament moves from its previous February slot to the fall schedule of the PGA Tour.

Leading 2026 Mexico Open Contenders

Wyndham Clark

Wyndham Clark leads the betting and arrives as a three-time PGA Tour winner in 2026.

Ranked world No.5, he is the highest-profile contender in a field containing only three players from the world’s top 50.

His driving distance gives him a clear opportunity to attack Vidanta Vallarta, but his previous results here offer a more measured picture – tied 67th in 2022 and tied 24th in 2023.

A closing 65 on that second visit demonstrated his scoring potential, and he returns with a considerably stronger season behind him.

Tom Kim

Tom Kim brings an impressive summer campaign to Mexico and is a leading candidate for victory this week.

He won the Genesis Scottish Open, finished third at the US Open and recorded a tied-fifth finish at the Wyndham Championship before reaching the Tour Championship.

Kim has already demonstrated the ability to keep scoring when a tournament requires a low winning total.

Three of his four PGA Tour victories have required 20-under par or better, making him an interesting challenger if Vidanta develops into a sustained birdie contest.

Ben James

Ben James looks to respond after missing the cut at last week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

That result interrupted a run of three consecutive finishes of tied fifth or better and was only his second missed cut in 11 starts since turning professional in June.

His recent scoring provides a stronger reason for optimism than the Bermuda result alone might suggest.

James recorded six rounds of 65 or better across his previous 12 rounds before last week, and his ability to find fairways and greens makes this a credible opportunity to return to contention.

Doug Ghim

Doug Ghim is rated prominently in several pre-tournament assessments as one of only three players in this field ranked inside the top 30 for strokes gained total – along with Clark and Kim.

Ghim represents solid each-way value in the field that will line-up in Mexico this week.

Ben Griffin

Ben Griffin is firmly among the leading contenders and an excellent value alternative to the shorter-priced Clark and Kim.

In a field where the market is relatively closely grouped behind the favourite, a strong opening round could quickly establish multiple PGA Tour winner Griffin as one of the central challengers.

Johnny Keefer

Johnny Keefer rounds out the featured group as he searches for his first PGA Tour victory.

The 25-year-old has already won three times across the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Americas, and finished the regular season 78th in the FedExCup standings.

Keefer’s scoring statistics make him particularly interesting this week as he ranks inside the PGA Tour’s top 20 for both birdies and eagles in 2026.
