Miyu Yamashita: What’s In The Bag

Miyu Yamashita What's In The Bag

Miyu Yamashita landed the biggest win of her career at the AIG Women’s Open in August 2025 and followed it with another LPGA Tour win in the Maybank Championship in November 2025. A look at Miyu Yamashita: What’s In The Bag.

The Japanese star had previously had a career-best second in the Women’s PGA Championship in 2024, and sixth again in the same major in 2025.

Yamashita stepped up on that with victory in the 2025 AIG Women’s Open by two shots from Charley Hull and Minami Katsu at Royal Porthcawl.

The Japanese star doubled her LPGA victory tally when winning a three-way play-off in the 2025 Maybank Championship in Malaysia, defeating Hannah Green and Hye-jin Choi at the first extra hole.

Yamashita has also been a star on home soil with 13 wins between 2021 and 2024 on the LPGA of Japan Tour.

Yamashita won the KKT Cup Vantelin Ladies Open in 2021 before five wins the following year in the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup, Ai Miyazato Suntory Ladies Open, Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Women’s Open, Ito En Ladies Golf Tournament and Japan LPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup.

Another five wins followed in 2023 in the Fuji Film Studio Alice Ladies Open, Bridgestone Ladies Open, Resort Trust Ladies, Nichirei Ladies and the Japan LPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup.

She took until late 2024 to add to her wins by landing the titles at the Fujitsu Ladies in October and Daio Paper Elleair Ladies Open in November.

Yamashita earned her LPGA Tour card for 2025 when she won LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in December.

Yamashita’s sponsorship endorsements include her role as a Srixon Tour player as well as partnerships with New Balance, Kao Corporation and Biore UV.
