Ping G450 drivers have been launched for 2027 with four new models – the MAX, LST, SFT and a new G450 MiniMax mini driver.
The new entries appeared on the USGA conforming list on November 2026 as Ping’s next driver family and the successors to the G440 series.
The MAX, LST and SFT continue the familiar structure of the Ping G440 drivers range, with options cover all-round forgiveness, lower spin and slice correction.
The MiniMax is the significant new addition now previously sees and appears to be Ping’s move into the mini driver marketplace.
All four heads carry Carbonfly Wrap branding, while the new name appearing on the soles is FASTFLEX. Exact construction and performance benefits have not yet been revealed by Ping.

Ping G450 MAX Driver Specs & Design

The Ping G450 MAX is expected to remain the core, all-round model in the family and the successor to the G440 MAX.
The previous versions of the MAX model have combined forgiveness with adjustable shot-shape weighting, and the new head’s sole shows Draw and Fade markings around the rear weighting area.
Once again, the MAX is set to be the most adjustable and wide-ranging in terms of player types looking to move the centre of gravity towards the heel or toe depending on swing characteristics.
Carbonfly Wrap remains from the previous G440 design and means Ping’s carbon-crown concept continues into the new generation.
The other visible addition is FASTFLEX, which is expected to be a new slot-like feature near the face to increase ball speeds and low-face contact consistency.
The G450 MAX appears on the conforming list in 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees lofts and will have eight separate hosel adjustments once again for plus or minus 1.5 degrees.
Ping G450 LST Driver Specs & Design

The G450 LST continues Ping’s Low Spin Technology design and is the model aimed at better players and faster swing speeds.
The LST has always been the model to target stronger ball-strikers who need to reduce spin while retaining the stability associated with Ping drivers – and the G450 is no different
Like the MAX, the LST has the now standard Ping Carbonfly Wrap as well as the new FASTFLEX technology incorporated.
It features Draw and Fade labels near its rear weighting area, suggesting it will have adjustment for both types of swing.
The LST is available in 7.5 degrees for the first time, 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees and has eight separate hosel adjustments once again for plus or minus 1.5 degrees.
Ping G450 SFT Driver Specs & Design

The G450 SFT is the slice-correction option in the series and continues Ping’s Straight Flight Technology design.
This model of the driver has been a success in previous generations and is designed to help golfers who lose the ball to the right with a right-handed swing.
The amount of slice or fade correction depends on the weighting settings in the G450, but it designed to promote a straight ball flight and gain yards off the tee.
The sole is marked Draw and Draw+, giving two options to cure the distance-hurting left-to-right ball shape (for right handers).
The SFT also retains the Carbonfly Wrap technology and carries the new FASTFLEX design behind the face for more consistent ball striking.
The G450 SFT comes in 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees lofts with eight separate hosel adjustments once again for plus or minus 1.5 degrees.
Ping G450 MiniMax Mini Driver Specs & Design

The G450 MiniMax is the new addition to the family and it Ping’s first move into the Mini Driver market place.
Listed at 13 degrees, it is the model that has been previously seen as a prototype being tested – and is an option to bring the gap between driver and woods.
The MiniMax features the same design as the other models with Carbonfly Wrap and FASTFLEX technology, along with Draw and Fade labels near the rear weight area.
Its precise head volume, face depth and shaft length have not been announced but it is likely to fit in line with the mini drivers already released by the likes of TaylorMade, Titleist and Cobra.
For golfers who have been waiting for a Ping alternative to established mini drivers, it is the model to watch.
It is sold in 13 degrees as standard and comes with eight separate hosel adjustments once again for plus or minus 1.5 degrees.
Ping G450 Drivers Review: Are The New Versions Any Good?
The first look at the G450 family is promising, particularly because Ping is retaining the trusted MAX, LST and SFT models while adding the MiniMax.
The familiarity couple with the launch of a first Mini Driver gives the range greater coverage and appeal that the G440 series.
FASTFLEX is the key technical development to follow and we look forward to testing to see how much improvement it offers over the G440s.
