The 2021 South African Open takes place from December 2-5. Watch a South African Open live stream of all the action from the event.
The SA Open golf was previously co-sanctioned between the DP World Tour, formerly known as the European Tour, and the Sunshine Tour as the second event of the South African swing. But it is just part of the Sunshine Tour in 2021.
It follows the curtailed Joburg Open last week, which was staged over two rounds due to a combination of a coronavirus outbreak and weather conditions.
The tournament is played at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa.
The event was first started in 1903 and has been part of the European Tour since 1997. Christiaan Bezuidenhout is the defending champion after victory in 2020.

The South African Open will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City in South Africa.
- Day 1 – Thursday, December 2
- Day 2 – Friday, December 3
- Day 3 – Saturday, December 4
- Day 4 – Sunday, December 5
The event features a capacity field of 156 with the top 70 and ties making the cut after 36 holes.
The tournament carries a prize fund of R7,900,000 or $500,000.
