Srixon ZX5 Mk II Black Chrome Irons Specs & Design
Lights out pure is the slogan of the new black chrome irons and there is no doubting just how attractive this version of the ZX5 Mk II is.
Like the standard model, they are now narrower in profile than the first generation ZX5 and have an improved feel from the forged clubhead.
The Black Chrome irons have a topline narrowed for a more compact look over the ball, making them more playable yet still both forgiving and long.
The ZX5 Mk II black irons are cavity back in design, but with a forged club head that delivers impressive ball speeds from across the face and maximum distance.
Those balls speeds come from the MainFrame technology, which has variable thickness grooves as well as channel and cavities in the rear of the clubhead for the maximum amount of flex.
There are wide grooves on the longer irons (4-iron to 7-iron) and deeper grooves in 8-iron to wedges for more spin and control on approach shots.
The center of gravity has been lowered with weight pushed towards the toe and sole, which features an improved Tour V.T. Sole with higher bounce on the leading edges for better ball striking from fairway, rough or sand traps.
The irons are available in 4-iron (22 degrees), 5-iron (24 degrees), 6-iron (27 degrees), 7-iron (31 degrees), 8-iron (35 degrees), 9-iron (39 degrees) and Pitching Wedge (44 degrees).
