The Stix Compete is an iron set of seven clubs and has been designed a value alternative to the biggest brands in golf – yet still provides impressive performance levels.

If you’ve seen Stix irons marketed and wondered if they are actually any good, the answer is firmly yes. The price doesn’t go them justice because the Compete range is a far better performer than the outlay.

They are an excellent option for mid-to-high handicappers with a combination of forgiveness, distance and control, but don’t rule them out if you are a single figure golfer as they could have performance benefits for you.

There are as forgiving as we’ve found with the progressive cavity-back design providing that in the long irons where you need it most, but also provide shot-shaping capabilities, plenty of carry and distance and consistent results.

The only negative is the lack of a left-handed option, meaning you lefties can’t game them just yet.
