TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 Wedges (NEW MG5 Model Reviewed)

TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 Wedges

TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 wedges are new for a 2025 with the first forged version of the premium range now available.

The TaylorMade MG5 is the successor to the Milled Grind 4 wedges last released in 2023, and one big switch has been made with the 2025 model fully forged and crafted from a single piece of soft carbon steel.

The MG5 does carry a similar look to previous Milled Grind series models but with subtle design changes include refined leading-edge curvature and an updated top line.

TaylorMade have also got more aggressive with the groove design and introduced updated Spin Tread technology for even more action in your short game and approach play.

TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 Wedges Specs & Design

The TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 is the latest evolution in the series and continue to be designed to deliver premium feel, enhanced spin and versatility.

For the first time in the MG family, the wedges are fully forged from soft carbon steel for exceptional softness and consistency in feel compared to the MG4 model.

The forging process has been done from a billet of soft carbon steel that has been heated, bent, roughly forged, then precision forged, milled and cosmetically finished for a stunning design.

The MG5 wedges feature new aggressive saw-milled grooves with steeper walls and sharper edges that generates more spin than previous MG generations.

TaylorMade’s Spin Tread Technology remains with a 45-degree angle added to the grooves to help retain 13% more spin than MG4 in wet conditions and maintain consistent performance in both wet and dry conditions.
