TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers Are A 4-Model 2026 Line-Up (Reviewed)

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver Review

TaylorMade Qi4D drivers have been unveiled as a new model for 2026 and the successor to the popular Qi35 range.

Four new designs – the Qi4D, Qi4D LS, Qi4D Max and Qi4D Max Lite – were officially launched as the brand’s 2026 model with the promise of being TaylorMade’s fastest drivers yet.

The same four models formed the Qi35 series of drivers and TaylorMade have made improvements and tweaks to the latest generation of their Qi series following on from the Qi10 and Qi35s.

The Qi4D drivers are joined by new fairway woods and rescues and are built around a refined 60X Carbon Twist Face, aggressive aerodynamics and a highly adjustable weighting and shaft system.

TaylorMade believe they have squeezed out both speed and tighter dispersion and created a driver the stuns with raw ball speeds.

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver Specs & Features

The Qi4D is the standard model in the series and appeals to the widest range of golfers with mid-launch, mid-spin and the fastest ball speeds in the series

The Core model has a pear-shaped profile and is more compact and Tour-influenced than a typical game‑improvement head…but still very stable.

Positioned as the default fit for most golfers, it provides a perfect balance of ball speed, forgiveness and workability for everyone from low-to-high handicap.

The Qi4D has TaylorMade’s 60x‑layer carbon face that first started in the Stealth, but it has been re‑engineered with a roll radius that keeps spin more consistent on high and low strikes across the face.

The Face layup and COR map have also been tweaked so that over half of the hitting area is now high COR for faster ball speeds.

TaylorMade’s standard Twist Face Technology curvature has also been changed with less loft in the heel and more in the toe to tighten dispersion on mishits.

Four movable weights (two 9g and two 4g) – known as the Trajectory Adjustment System (TAS) – allow both front‑back and heel‑toe CG tuning for launch, spin and shot shape.

A new, cut‑through Speed Pocket under the face has been optimized via finite element analysis to keep speed up on low‑face strikes and expand the effective hitting area.

The Qi4D is available in four lofts of 8 degrees, 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees in both right and left-handed versions.

The driver also features TaylorMade’s adjustable hosel and the loft can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).

TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver Specs & Features

The Qi4D LS is replaces the Qi35 LS as the ultra-low spin option in the series and is designed to suits players with fast swing speeds.

It has a Tour profile and shaping, the lowest spinning head of the four models, the flattest lie angle and the most fade bias of the range.

Aimed at higher‑speed players or those who need to reduce spin by roughly 200–400 rpm, the LS model is the right choice for golfers with left‑miss tendencies.

TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver

The Qi4D LS features a carbon crown and carbon Twist face as well as the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket technology positioned behind the face.

It is the 60x face that has the biggest tweak in the 2026 model with the roll radius altered compared to the Qi35 for more consistent ball striking.

Other changes to the LS from the Qi35 equivalent involves a streamlined crown and a revised trailing edge that helps aerodynamics and helps add extra clubhead speed for high‑swing‑speed players.

The LS model features a 15g forward weight positioned centrally behind the face along with a 4g back weight port to help the low spin, high speed characteristics of this model

The design is significant tweak compared to the Qi35 LS, which featured heel and sole weights. That design is now in the standard model instead.

The LS driver comes in lofts of 8 degrees, 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees and can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).

TaylorMade Qi4D Max Driver Specs & Features

The Qi4D Max driver is the most forgiving of the four options and best suited to handicap golfers looking to find more fairways.

It has been designed with a more rounded head shape than the other two models and provides the most stable launch and high MOI characteristics of the series.

Like the other models, it has a full carbon driver head design including redesign 60x carbon face that retains more ball speed even when it comes to heel and toe strikes.

TaylorMade Qi4D Max Driver

The Max provided improved forgiveness and the weighting in the clubhead is set with slight built‑in draw bias that helps extract more distance by helping to eliminate a fade or slice.

In the Max driver, TaylorMade have incorporated aircraft‑grade 7075 aluminum in the collar to save weight compared to titanium and it has allowed mass to be freed up for the new TAS weights.

The Trajectory Adjustment System features forward and rear ports for the first time on a pure max‑forgiveness TaylorMade head, while thee is a 13g rear and 4g front weight to provide draw bias and stability.

The successor to the Qi35 Max also features the Speed Pocket positioned behind the face to provide consistent ball speeds from strikes low on the face.

The Qi4D Max driver is available in 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees and can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).

TaylorMade Qi4D Max Lite Driver Specs & Features

The Max Lite version of the Qi4D driver is back in the series and the successor to the ultra-lightweight Qi35 Max Lite.

It is once targeted at slower speed, senior and many female golfers who benefit from generating more clubhead speed thanks to the stripped back and lightweight head.

It comes with a draw bias setup to help extract maximum golfers for those who need it most and typically play with a distance-sapping fade or slice.

TaylorMade Qi4D Max Lite Driver

TaylorMade have built this version of the driver to be 30g lighter overall than the Qi4D Max to boost the clubhead speed without sacrificing stability or the draw bias setup.

The face has the re-engineered 60x carbon construction and delivers consistent spin across impacts – particularly out of the heel or toe.

The compact 460cc shape clubhead also has a redesigned cut-through Speed Pocket that reduces spin and maintains ball speeds from low-face strikes.

It features just one TAS weight positioned forward behind the Speed Pocket, while further weight savings come from the inclusion of an ultralight REAX Blue 40g in regular or senior flex.

The Qi4D Max driver is available in 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees and can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).

TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers Review: Are they any good?

TaylorMade’s Qi10 was a real performer and there were thoughts in some quarters that the Qi35 never managed to improve on that.

It looks like TaylorMade have with the Qi4D though with new weighting structure and design tweaks to the clubheads adding more distance, workability and more importantly speed through the air.

It is the Trajectory Adjustment System with very different weighting designs for each model that is the key to providing the perfect weapon from the tee box in 2026.
