TaylorMade Qi4D drivers have been unveiled as a new model for 2026 and the successor to the popular Qi35 range.
Three new designs – the Qi4D, Qi4D LS and Qi4D Max – have appeared on the USGA Conforming List ahead of what is expected to be a late 2025 or early 2026 official launch.
The same three models formed the Qi35 series of drivers and TaylorMade have made improvements and tweaks to the latest generation of their Qi series following the Qi10 and Qi35s.
The new Qi4D drivers are expected to appear on tour in the closing months of the year with Rory McIlroy set to have one of the models in his bag.
It is expected that the Qi4D drivers will be joined by fairway woods and rescues when the range is officially launched, but no details on that is available just yet.
TaylorMade Qi4D Driver Specs & Features
The Qi4D is the standard model in the series and appeals to the widest range of golfers.
Although we don’t know what 4D stands for in the latest naming, it is expected that TaylorMade have pushed the boundaries further is search for distance and forgiveness.
In this model, the images we have seen shows two 4g sole weights positioned in the heel and toe of the sole to enable precise weight distribution.

That is a change from the Qi35 equivalent, which featured only a single sole weight port positioned behind the face.
Also present in the new Qi4D is TaylorMade’s now expected Thru Slot Speed Pocket behind the face for maximum speed and forgiveness, while the driver once again features a carbon face and crown.
The Qi4D is available in four lofts of 8 degrees, 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees in both right and left-handed versions.
The driver also features TaylorMade’s adjustable hosel and the loft can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).
TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver Specs & Features
The Qi4D LS is expected to be the most advanced version and a low-spin and low launching option that suits players with fast swing speeds.
The LS model features a 15g forward weight positioned centrally behind the face along with a back weight port, the details of which haven’t been revealed.

The design is significant tweak compared to the Qi35 LS, which features heel and sole weights. That design is now in the standard model instead.
The Qi4D LS features a carbon crown and carbon Twist face as well as the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket technology positioned behind the face.
The LS driver comes in lofts of 8 degrees, 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees and can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).
TaylorMade Qi4D Max Driver Specs & Features
The Qi4D Max driver is the most forgiving of the trio of options and best suited to handicap golfers looking to find more fairways.
It has been designed with a more rounded head shape than the other two models and provides the most stable launch and high MOI characteristics of the series.

Engineered for maximum forgiveness, the Max driver has a 4g weight fitted in the front center of the sole and an undisclosed back weight which is expected to be much heavier to increase MOI.
The switch to the weight behind the face is interesting given the Qi35 Max featured only the sole weight.
The successor to the Qi35 Max has a carbon crown, carbon face and also features the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket positioned behind the face to provide consistent ball speeds from strikes low on the face.
The Qi4D Max driver is available in 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees and can be adjusted by four degrees (two degrees up and down).
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers Review: Are they any good?
TaylorMade’s Qi10 was a real performer and there were thoughts in some quarters that the Qi35 never managed to improve on that.
The manufacturer will therefore be keen for the Qi4D to make a big impact.
The changes to the sole weighting are interesting and we look forward to seeing exactly what the impact of those design tweaks are when the drivers hit the market.
