Titleist Adjustment Chart For Drivers, Fairways & Hybrids

Titleist TSi4 Driver

The Titleist Adjustment Chart is a guide that contains all of the settings required to adjust drivers, fairway woods and hybrids using the SureFit Hosel.

The chart includes information on how to adjust the loft, lie and face angle of any of the Titleist clubs to suit different playing styles and conditions.

On Titleist drivers, woods and rescues, it is known as the SureFit Hosel and we have a complete guide on how it works given it uses a lettering and numbering system rather than actual loft numbers like other manufacturers.

What is the Titleist SureFit Hosel?

The SureFit Hosel is a proprietary technology developed by Titleist that allows golfers to adjust the loft and lie angles of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids.

This adjustable hosel system provides a high degree of customization to suit individual swing styles and loft and lie preferences

It consists of two rings – the upper ring controls the loft and uses a lettering system of A, B, C & D, and the lower ring adjusts the lie with a numbered system of 1, 2, 3 & 4.

There are 16 separate options and the opportunity to reduce loft by up to 1.5 degrees or increase it by the same amount from the standard stock figure.

Increasing loft adds launch angle and spin, which can be beneficial for more carry or height on shots. Decreasing loft reduces the launch angle and spin, often resulting in longer, more penetrating ball flights.

Adjusting the lie angle affects the horizontal plane of the clubface at impact, influencing the direction of the shot. An upright lie can help correct a slice, while a flatter lie can help mitigate a hook

The Titleist adjustment settings for drivers features a dual-angle hosel that enables adjustments to both loft and lie.

The loft of the club can be increased or decreased by 1.5 degrees in each direction, while the lie angle can also be adjusted, which affects the horizontal angle of the club face at impact.

Upright settings can help correct a fade or slice (ball moves left to right for a right-handed golfer), flat settings can help correct a hook.

The hosel has two rings with different settings. The top ring adjusts loft, and the bottom ring adjusts lie. The settings on each ring are typically denoted by letters (for loft) and numbers (for lie) and can be found below.

How To Adjust Titleist Clubs

Adjustments are made to any Titleist driver, woods or hybrids using a special torque wrench provided by Titleist.

If you don’t have the specific Titleist branded one, most other brands use exactly the same size screw head.

The clubhead is secured to the shaft with a screw that is loosened to make adjustments and then tightened to lock the new setting in place.

The following steps show you how:

  1. Locate the screw on the sole of your Titleist club that attaches the head to the shaft.
  2. Using the wrench, loosen the screw by turning anticlockwise.
  3. Once the screw is fully out, you can rotate the upper ring of the adjustable hosel to a lower loft or a higher loft depending on your preference.
  4. Match up the lie angle that you also want to switch to via the lower ring of the hosel. You can turn the shaft to up to 16 further options via the lettering and numbering combinations.
  5. When you have turned the hosel to your required loft, slot the shaft back into your club head. Your new loft and lie combination will be display on the outer.
  6. Put the screw back in place and tighten with the wrench by turning clockwise. When it is fully tight, you will hear a crank that sounds like the clubhead is cracking. At this point, the screw is as tight as needed.

Every time you want to adjust the loft, you repeat this process.
