Titleist TS Hybrids Review

Titleist TS Hybrids

Titleist TS Hybrids feature in the Titleist Speed Project range with the promise of providing more forgiveness and distance than ever before.

The TS hybrids come in two options – the TS2 and TS3 – and are a direct replacement for the 818H1 and 818H2 that previously headlined the rescues offered by Titleist.

Joining the TS drivers series and TS woods, Titleist have gone all out to perfect their options at the top end of the bag and the hybrids are attractive in looks and strong in performance.

What Titleist say about the TS Hybrids…

“Born from the Titleist Speed Project, TS Hybrids represent a new standard in hybrid performance.

“In a word, these things just GO. They look great, feel amazing, and explode through the ball with a lively Tour-preferred sound.

“Wonder what it’s like to play a hybrid you can’t wait to hit? Stop wondering and GO.”

Titleist TS Hybrids Design

There are two options in the TS Hybrid range with the TS2 boasting a bigger head than the TS3, with both featuring the speed-enhancing chassis that was first seen in the Titleist TS drivers and fairway woods.

Both feature an ultra-thin crown to help move the weight lower and deeper and create the lowest CG ever, and the face has been made 16% thing than the Titleist 818H1 and 818H2.

Titleist TS2 Hybrid

The promise is that both versions of the TS hybrids produce faster ball speeds than their predecessors as well as more forgiveness than the previous range.

The TS2 hybrid has a more rounded club head design and it is more fairway wood-like than a traditional rescue club. It also features Titleist’s SureFit Flatweight to create an adjustable swing weight

The Titleist TS2 produces a higher launch and spin level compared to the TS3, which is more compact in design and performs much more like a long iron in terms of ball flight.

The Titleist TS3 hybrid has an adjustable Magnetic SureFit CG weight cartridge at the back of the clubhead to offer customisation depending on preferred shot shape.

The TS hybrids also include a Surefit hosel to create up to 16 different loft and lie combinations.

The TS2 is available in 17, 19, 21, 23, 25 and 27-degree options, while the 27-degree loft is not available in the TS3 design.

Titleist TS Hybrids Verdict

Titleist have taken their hybrid performance up a notch with the release of the TS series.

The drivers are seriously impressive, as are the woods, and the hybrids follow that through with two options ensuring that the needs of all golfers are catered for by Titleist.

Titleist TS Hybrids

The iron like ball flight offered by the TS3 hybrids will really appeal to players look to extract even more distance out of their long game, while the higher trajectory of the TS2 provides the perfect alternative.

With more forgiveness than Titleist has been able to provide before from a hybrid, there is little not to like about the TS range.
