WTGL

After the successful introduction of TGL, a new women’s version the WTGL will launch later in 2026 featuring stars of the LPGA Tour.

TMRW Sports, co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, launched TGL in 2025 and the innovative indoor league is now into season 2 in 2026.

By the end of 2026, TGL’s arena-style format will extended to women with leading names from the LPGA forming a new league known as the Women’s Team Golf League.

Announced in 2026 by the LPGA and TMRW Sports, it was revealed the league will start later in the year and will also take place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Teams of LPGA stars will compete in short-form match play on massive simulators with rotating greens and real-time analytics that we have seen in TGL.

Matches will incorporate TGL elements like mic’d-up players, risk-reward shots and the “Hammer” rule for high-stakes finishes.

The inaugural season is scheduled for winter 2026-27 following the conclusion of the 2026 LPGA Tour events, with full details on teams, players and schedules set to be revealed throughout the year.

LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler said: “Partnering with TMRW Sports on WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help the game reach new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes.

“I’ve seen how new formats can engage audiences while showcasing both athlete personality and performance, and WTGL brings that spirit of innovation to the women’s game.”

TMRW Sports CEO Mike McCarley added: “Since the launch of TGL a year ago, TMRW Sports has been putting the pieces in place to create a women’s league featuring the best players in the world.

“Now, along with the LPGA and its athletes, we look forward to creating a stage to help showcase the stars of the LPGA.”
