The event is played on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbour, and is the last of the Florida swing of events of the 2024 PGA Tour season.

The Valspar Championship was first held in 2000 when known as the Tampa Bay Classic. It has also been known as the Chrysler Championship, PODS Championship, Transitions Championship and Tampa Bay Championship.

Taylor Moore is the reigning champion after winning at Innisbrook in 2023.

Previous champions include KJ Choi, Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Gary Woodland, Luke Donald, Jordan Spieth, Paul Casey and Sam Burns.

Valspar Championship Golf Format & Schedule

Valspar Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club with a cut after the opening two rounds.

• Day 1 – Thursday, March 21
• Day 2 – Friday, March 22
• Day 3 – Saturday, March 23
• Day 4 – Sunday, March 24

The tournament carries a total prize fund of $8,400,000 USD.
