The event has a rich history having first been played in 1904 and is Canada’s biggest golf tournament.

This year’s RBC Canadian Open is played at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Toronto for the first time. It will also stage the event in 2026 to make the club’s centenary.

The 2022 tournament was staged at St George’s Golf and Country Club with other former hosts being Royal Montreal Golf Club, Toronto Golf Club, Royal Ottawa Golf Club, Lambton Golf Club, Hamilton Golf and Country Club, Mississaugua Golf & Country Club, Scarboro Golf and Country Club, Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club and Glen Abbey Golf Course.

Rory McIlroy is the defending champion having won the event the last two times it was held in 2019 and 2022.

Former winners of the event include Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Greg Norman, Curtis Strange, Nick Price, Mark O’Meara, Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Brandt Snedeker, Jason Day and Dustin Johnson.

The RBC Canadian Open will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Toronto, Canada, with a cut after the opening two rounds.

• Day 1 – Thursday, June 8
• Day 2 – Friday, June 9
• Day 3 – Saturday, June 10
• Day 4 – Sunday, June 11

The tournament carries a total prize fund of $9,000,000 USD.
