The 2023 Ryder Cup line-ups have been chosen by a qualification process and captains picks with strong line-ups for both captains Luke Donald and Zach Johnson to choose from.
The 44th Ryder Cup heads to Italy for the first time and to the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome with United States the defending champions after winning the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits.

Europe Ryder Cup Team
Qualification for the European Team is slightly different this year with three players qualifying from the European Points List and three more from the World Points List.
As a result, Luke Donald will have six captains picks – increased from three – for the remaining spots on his team.
Six players booked their places on the European Team in Rome via the qualification methods.
Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Robert MacIntyre secured the European points list places and Viktor Hovland, Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick got the World points list positions.
Donald revealed his six captain’s picks with a mixture of the experienced Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose and Shane Lowry and Ryder Cup rookies Sepp Straka, Nicolai Hojgaard and Ludvig Aberg.

United States Ryder Cup Team
The USA Ryder Cup team is made up of six automatic qualifiers and six wildcards chosen by captain Zach Johnson.
The six automatic qualifiers have been confirmed following the FedExCup with Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa and Xander Schauffele locked in.
Johnson selected his final six members as picks, naming LIV Golf‘s Brooks Koepka along with Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns.

Day 2 (Saturday, September 30): 4 x foursomes (morning) and 4 x fourballs (afternoon).
Day 3 (Sunday, October 1): 12 x singles matches.
