The Australian Open is is staged at The Australian Golf Club and The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney, Australia, and combines both the women’s and men’s game in one tournament.

The Women’s Australian Open moves to Sydney for 2023 and will be run as a dual event along with the Australian Open on the DP World Tour.

The Lakes Golf Club stages action on the opening two days, while The Australian Golf Club sees play across all four days.

The women’s tournament dates back to 1974 and has previously been co-sanctioned with the LPGA Tour. In 2022, the tournament was part of the combined Australian Open for the first time.

Ashleigh Buhai is the reigning champion after winning the last edition in 2022.

Women’s Australian Open Format & Schedule

The Women’s Australian Open will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at The Australian Golf Club and The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney, Australia.

A field of 84 women will play a round at each of the courses on the opening two days. The top 32 and ties will make the cut and play weekend rounds at The Australian Golf Club.

• Day 4 – Sunday, December 3

The tournament carries a prize fund of $1,700,000 AUD.
