The women’s tournament dates back to 1974 and has previously been co-sanctioned with the LPGA Tour. In 2022, the tournament was part of the combined Australian Open for the first time.

Ashleigh Buhai is the reigning champion after winning the last edition in 2022.

Women’s Australian Open Format & Schedule

The Women’s Australian Open will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at The Australian Golf Club and The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney, Australia.

A field of 84 women will play a round at each of the courses on the opening two days. The top 32 and ties will make the cut and play weekend rounds at The Australian Golf Club.

  • Day 3 – Saturday, December 2
  • Day 4 – Sunday, December 3

The tournament carries a prize fund of $1,700,000 AUD.
