The Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches takes place at the famous Champions Course course at the PGA National in Palm Beach, Florida, as the east coast swing begins.

This is the first year of Cognizant’s sponsorship of the event after stepping in when Honda pulled out.

The Honda Classic dated back to 1972 when first staged as the Jackie Gleason’s Inverrary Classic.

Chris Kirk is the defending champion after winning the event in 2023.

Former winners include Lee Trevino, Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Curtis Strange, Fred Couples, Nick Price, Mark O’Meara, Vijay Singh, Padraig Harrington, Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler Adam Scott and Justin Thomas.

Cognizant Classic Golf Format & Schedule

The Cognizant Classic will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at PGA National with a cut after the opening two rounds.

• Day 1 – Thursday, February 29
• Day 2 – Friday, March 1
• Day 3 – Saturday, March 2
• Day 4 – Sunday, March 3

The tournament carries a prize fund of $9,000,000 USD.
