The Indian Open golf returned to the tour as part of the 2023 DP World calendar following a three-year absence during the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is included on the 2024 European Tour schedule too as part of the Asian Swing of the new global calendar of events.

The 2024 edition returns to the DLF Golf and Country Club in New Delhi, India, having been staged at the venue in 2023.

The Indian Open was first held in 1964 as part of the Asian Tour before becoming part of the European Tour in 2015. It is now co-sanctioned between the DP World Tour and Professional Golf Tour of India.

Marcel Siem is the reigning champion after winning the Indian Open in 2023.

Other former winners include Peter Thomson, Kenji Hosoishi, Payne Stewart, Thongchai Jaidee, Anirban Lahiri, Matt Wallace and Stephen Gallacher.
