The tournament is the first of three LPGA Tour 2024 events in Asia, and is being played on the Old Course at the Siam Country Club in Pattaya, Thailand.
It was was first held in 2006 at the Amata Spring Country Club and was staged on the Plantation Course at the Siam Country Club in 2009, but has otherwise taken place on the Old Course.
Lilia Vu is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2023.
Other former winners include Suzann Pettersen, Lorena Ochoa, Ai Miyazato, Yani Tseng, Inbee Park, Anna Nordqvist, Amy Yang, Lexi Thompson, Jessica Korda, Ariya Jutanugarn and Nanna Koerstz Madsen.
