The Houston Open takes place in Memorial Park Golf Course in Texas and is part of the 2024 PGA Tour season.

The tournament has been part of the PGA Tour since 1948 when Byron Nelson became the first-ever winner.

It was last staged in November 2022 when included during the opening months of the 2022/23 PGA Tour calendar, but reverts to a spring date in this year’s schedule.

Tony Finau is the defending champion after winning in 2022 when the Houston Open was last held.

Other former winners include Bobby Locke, Johnny Palmer, Arnold Palmer, Lee Elder, Gary Player, Curtis Strange, Corey Pavin, Raymond Floyd, Jay Haas, Fred Funk, Payne Stewart, David Duval, Stuart Appleby, Robert Allenby, Fred Couples and Vijay Singh.

More recent champions are Adam Scott, Paul Casey, Anthony Kim, Phil Mickelson, JB Holmes, Ian Poulter, Carlos Ortiz and Jason Kokrak.
