The tournament is part of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, and is being played on the Tanjong Course at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.
The HSBC Women’s World Championship was first held in 2008 at the Tanah Merah Country Club before moving to Sentosa.
The Sentosa first staged the prestigious tournament on the Serapong Course from 2013 to 2016 and the Tanjong Course from 2017 onwards.
Jin-Young Ko is the reigning champion after winning the last two tournaments in 2022 and 2023 in Singapore.
Other former winners include Lorena Ochoa, Jiyai Shin, Ai Miyazato, Karrie Webb, Angela Stanford, Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer, Inbee Park, Jang Ha-na, Inbee Park, Michelle Wie, Park Sung-hyun and Kim Hyo-joo.
