The Genesis Invitational is hosted by Tiger Woods but the 15-time major winner will not be appearing in the tournament this week following the passing of his mom.
The event traditionally takes place at the famous Riviera course in Pacific Palisades in California, but most to Torrey Pines for 2025 following the devastating California fires.
The Genesis Invitational dates back to 1928 when first staged as the Los Angeles Open. It has also been known as the Nissan Open and Northern Trust Open.
Hideki Matsuyama is the defending champion after winning in 2024.
A top class field typically lines up with big names among the former winners including Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Fred Couples, Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Max Homa and Jon Rahm.

The Genesis Invitational will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Torrey Pines with a cut after the opening two rounds.
- Day 1 – Thursday, February 13
- Day 2 – Friday, February 14

- Day 4 – Sunday, February 16
