The 2025 event, which is one of five major championships in women’s golf, is being played in Wisconsin with Erin Hills hosting the US Women’s Open for the first time.
The course previously staged the 2017 US Open won by Brooks Koepka and has also played host to the 2008 US Women’s Amateur Public Links, 2011 US Amateur and the 2022 US Mid-Amateur.
The US Women’s Open is the oldest of the five majors having first been played in 1946 and officially recognised by the LPGA in 1950.
Yuka Saso is the reigning champion after winning the US Women’s Open for the second time in 2024 at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania.
