The 2026 event, which is one of five major championships in women’s golf, is being played in California with Riviera Country Club hosting the US Women’s Open for the first time.
The course previously staged the US Open, PGA Championships, US Senior Open, US Amateur and is home to the Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour.
The US Women’s Open is the oldest of the five majors having first been played in 1946 and officially recognised by the LPGA in 1950.
Maja Stark is the reigning champion after winning the US Women’s Open in 2025 at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.
