The Genesis Championship joined the DP World Tour schedule in 2024 as a co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and Korean Tour.
Previously taking place at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, the tournament has a new home for 2025 having moved to Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in South Korea.
Byeong Hun An won the first edition of the Genesis Championship as a DP World Tour event in 2024 as he tasted victory on home turf in South Korea, and is among the 2025 betting odds favourites.
A year earlier, Pablo Larrazabal won the Korea Championship in the 2023 DP World Tour season before that tournament was merged with the Genesis Championship.

The Genesis Championship golf will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in South Korea.
